The Bachelors & Bachelorettes: Where Are They Now?


Alex Michel

The first bachelor to give a shot at love on the series was Alex Michel. Although he did not find a soulmate in Amanda Marsh, the show did lead to other successes for him. He became a spokesperson for and dabbled in short films. Today, he lives and works in New York City and is an executive at a media technology company.

DeAnna Pappas

The 4th Bachelorette was DeAnna Pappas. The real-estate agent first appeared on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor. She got engaged to Jesse Csincsak during her finale. However, the two split only a few months after. She is now married to Stephen Stigliano. Stephen’s brother, Michael Stagliano, appeared on season five of The Bachelorette. DeAnna and Stephen have two children together.

Andrew Firestone

Firestone Tire heir, Andrew Firestone, thought he found the love of his life in Jen Schefft. However, they split after seven months. He was able to find love elsewhere with actress-model, Ivana Bozilovic. They have two children, Brooks and Anja. You may have seen Ivana in movies such as Van Wilder: Party Liaison and Wedding Crashers. Andrew also started his own hospitality development company.

Bob Guiney

After trying to find love on the first season of The Bachelorette with Trista Stutter, Bob Guiney became the 4th Bachelor. At the end of the show, he gave Estella Gardinier a promise ring. However, they broke up a few months later. He was previously married before the show, which obviously didn’t work out. In 2004, he married the All My Children actress Rebecca Budig. Sadly, they also split after six years of marriage. Today, Bob hosts the “Happy Hour,” a daily talk show on Sirius radio. However, he recently gave marriage one more shot and married Jessica Canyon.

Trista Rehn

Trista Rehn became the first Bachelorette after she was the runner-up on Alex Michel’s season. She gave her final rose to Ryan Sutter. The two got married in a 3-part televised series in 2003 called Trista & Ryan’s WeddingThe two were on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in 2014, however, they are still married. They have two children.

Jesse Palmer

He was the first NFL player and Canadian Bachelor. He gave his last rose to Jessica Bowlin. However, he did not propose on the 5th season. The two split a few months after the show ended. However, he has found a way to stay spotlight and is currently a college football commentator on ESPN and a football analyst on TSN in Canada. He never married.

Jillian Harris

The fifth Bachelorette was Canadian Jillian Harris. She choose Ed Swiderski. However, Ed was not as perfect as he seemed on camera. Ed cheated, and their relationship ended, in 2010. However, Jillian came out of the relationship stronger. She hosts the HGTV show  Love It or List It Too and W Network’s Love it or List it Vancouver. She also has a child with longtime boyfriend, Justin Pasutto.

Charlie O’Connell

Charlie O’Connell left season 7 with Sarah Brice. The on-again-off-again relationship went on for four years. The two officially split in 2010. He has since been seen dating, however, has never been married. He has also dabbled in a little acting. He had small roles in movies such as Dude, Where’s My Car? and The New Guy. He also appeared in 2 episodes of Crossing Jordan.

Travis Lane Stork

Dr. Travis Lane Stork chose school teacher, Sarah Stone on the 8th season of The Bachelor. However, the two split before the finale even aired. In 2012, he married Dr. Charlotte Brown. Unfortunately, the two have since divorced. However, you can watch him again on TV on CBS, as he co-hosts the daytime talk show The Doctors.

Juan Pablo Galavis

Juan Pablo became a fan favorite when he appeared on Desiree Hartsock’s season of The Bachelorette. He was chosen to be on the 18th season of The Bachelor. However, he soon became one of the most hated Bachelors, as he made sexist and anti-gay remarks. He chose Nikki Ferrel on the finale. The two broke up after their time on the reality series Couple Therapy. Juan Pablo is dating Venezuelan model and TV host Osmariel Villalobos, and he is working in the entertainment industry.

Brad Womack

Brad Womack, is still the only Bachelor that was given two tries. On season 11, he became the first Bachelor to choose no one. His second time around in season 15, he chose Emily Maynard. They eventually broke off their engagement. He is still single but seems to be content with it. In 2012, he opened his own bar, in Houston, Texas, called “The Dogwood.”

Jason Mesnick

Jason Mesnick, bachelor of season 13, may have had the most controversial end to his season. On the finale, he got engaged to Melissa Rycroft. However, he then said he was in love with the runner-up Molly Maleney. Jason and Molly got married on TV in 2010. Jason and Molly are still happily married and have one daughter together.

Jason Pavelka

Jason Pavelka and Vienna Giardi got engaged on the 14th season on The Bachelor. However, Jake eventually broke it off – over the phone! He said the long-distance was too hard, and he was unable to get into character, for a show he was on. He in total has appeared on eight reality shows including Bachelor Pad, Dancing With The StarsRachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off and H8R. He has also had guest-appearance on series such as Drop Dead Diva and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Sean Lowe

Sean Lowe and his pick from season 17, Catherine Giudici, had a storybook romance throughout the season that included handwritten love letters. He proposed on the season finale. Sean Lowe became the first Bachelor to marry the woman he chose on the finale. Although the two appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, they are still happily married. They have one son together, Samuel Thomas Lowe.

Chris Soules

“Prince Farming,” Chris Soules, proposed to Whitney Bischoff on the season 19 finale. The two were rumored to have a rocky relationship while Chris remained in the spotlight on Dancing With The Stars. After Chris was eliminated, the two officially announced their split. In 2015, he appeared on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. He is still farming and is still single.

Ben Higgins

Sweet Ben Higgins, proposed to Lauren Bushnell on season 20 of The Bachelor. At the end of 2016 and after their reality show Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? came to a close, rumors began to spread that their relationship may be on the rocks. The originally shut down those rumors, but as of mid-May 2017, the two called it quits. Sources tell E! News it was because they wanted different things.

Meredith Phillips

Meredith was the third runner-up on Bob Guiney’s season. She became the second Bachelorette. She got engaged to Ian McKee on the season finale. However, the two broke up in 2005, almost a year after the show premiered. In 2013, Meredith admitted she had battled alcoholism. Today, she is a professional chef and authored The Date Night Cookbook.

Ben Flajnik

Season 15 was a joy to watch with Ben Flajnik as the Bachelor, until he left the show with “the season villain” Courtney Robertson. But after some cheating rumors, the two ended their engagement. The former winemaker turned to new-age technology to find love. He is currently dating Stephanie Winn, who he met on the popular app, Tinder.

Andrew Baldwin

Military-man Andrew Baldwin was the 10th Bachelor. “The Officer and Gentleman” proposed to Tessa Horst on the season finale, but they broke up eight months after the episode aired. He has since continued to be an officer and gentleman. He got his masters of public health at Johns Hopkins. He also still does lots of humanitarian work. He founded the “Got Your Back Network,” which helps children of fallen soldiers.


Jen Schefft

Jen Schefft had actually “won” season 3 of The Bachelor with Andrew Firestone. However, after they split, Jen became the third Bachelorette. On the show’s finale, she chose neither Jerry Ferris nor John Paul Meritt. However, she eventually found love and married Joe Waterman. They have two daughters. She also told the world through Twitter that she thought Calia Quinn should have been chosen over Jojo fletcher.

Byron Velvick

This fisherman reeled in Mary Delgado during his time on the 6th season of The Bachelor. It seemed they might have found forever love. However, in 2009, their relationship took a turn for the worst and Delgado was arrested on charges of battery against Byron! In 2011, he was able to find love again and married a nurse named Belinda with whom he has a daughter. He is now the host of Byron Velvick’s Guides’ Eyes on The Outdoor Channel.

Aaron Buerge

Aaron Buerge was a banker and the second ever Bachelor. He proposed to Helene Eksterowicz on the show. Unfortunately, their love was not true, and they ended the engagement after only five weeks. In 2011, Buerge declared bankruptcy. However, he has since recovered and found a wife in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri. He and his wife Angye have two daughters.

Prince Lorenzo Borghese

No one could forget the Bachelor of season 9, Prince Lorenzo Borghese. He was unable to find forever love with Jennifer Wilson but took a shot at it again on a Dutch dating show. He went undercover and worked at a fast food restaurant. He hasn’t been able to find love. However, he does have a passion for helping animals. He has his own high-end skin-care line for pets, called Royal Treatment, as well as, founded Animal Aid USA.

Matt Grant

The first British Bachelor was Matt Grant, on season 12. He proposed to Shayne Lamas, but the two broke off their engagement not too long after the finale aired. In 2005, Grant joined the cast of Dancing With The Stars. In 2011, it was reported he was dating Bachelor Pad winner Natalie Getz. However, Matt recently got engaged to Rebecca Morning. He now lives back in London and is an executive for a food allergy app called Kaboodle.

Nick Viall

After appearing on multiple franchises of The Bachelor, Nick Viall has finally found his happily ever after. He first appeared on the franchise during season 10 of The Bachelorette with Andi Dorfman. Sadly, he was runner-up. He appeared again on season 11 of the Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe. History repeated itself, and he was once again runner-up. He made his way to the beach for Bachelor in Paradise. But, no luck there either. Finally, he was chosen as The Bachelor. He proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi on the season finale, and she accepted. Unfortunately, the two announced their split in August 2017.

Ali Fedotowsky

Ali Fedotowsky was in season 6 of The Bachelorette. She originally appeared on Jake Pavelka’s season. At the end of her season, she got engaged to Roberto Martinez, however, they broke up soon after in 2011. Ali has stayed on the TV circuit. She worked as a Fox news correspondent and host of the show 1st Look. She is currently engaged to Kevin Manno, and they have one child together.
